As an example, a friend parked his truck with a CB radio (old school manual tuned) in it next to a HF antenna we had set up. We tuned a 3KW transmitter to adjacent freq. ( not the one the CB was tuned to). When we keyed it up and transmitted, we could hear it on the radio even though it was OFF. If I understand the problem with the iPhone correctly, the signal loss occurs when you bridge between antennas with your finger, changing the electrical properties of the antenna. More and more evidence that iOS4 isn't calibrating the radio frequencies correctly, and it's purely a software issue.
